Join us as Jane H. Willis, AAA presents the first seminar of the 2016-2017 Ask the Experts Series! 

Jane will share important tips that will help appraisers run an efficient appraisal business, and discuss best practices for expertly managing the administrative portion of your business while maximizing your time and growing your practice.  

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss a basic approach to the efficient administration of an appraisal practice - including comments on
    worksheets, agreements, client contacts, agreements, client contacts, templates and the formatting and production of your reports
  • Learn the basic approach to establishing referral and collegial relationships that both preserves the personal trust and gets you the next job
  • Address the on-going challenge of appropriate billing - a subject that requires both courage and experience!

This will be an interactive seminar where attendees will have the
 opportunity to ask questions.

Jane H. Willis, AAA, sole proprietor of Jane H. Willis Appraisal Service for well over thirty-five years, is a former president of the Appraisers Association of America (2002-2004) and served on the Board of Directors for twenty-five years (1988-2013.)  Jane created the Appraisal Writing Workshop for the NYU SCPS Appraisal Studies program, teaching the course and writing/updating the textbook from 1995-2011. She is an Americana specialist in both fine and decorative arts; and an expert generalist, especially in fine arts, antiques and silver. Her practice focuses on estate-related services including planning, and estate, gift and donation appraisals for tax purposes, all for a private, museum and institutional clientele.

Notice of cancellation must be sent in writing, at least one week before the program in order to get a full refund. Cancellation notices received within one week of the program will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.
