Join appraisers Juan Lluria, AAA and Susan Hunter, AAA for a day of exploring modern design in Miami.

The morning will be spent at the Wolfsonian-FIU museum for a tour of the current exhibition Modern Dutch Design as well as a tour of the permanent collection. Participants will have the opportunity to identify differences in modern design from the United States and Europe.

Next, tour the Wolfsonian-FIU library and learn about the vast research resources available there.

After lunch the group will meet at Valerio Art Deco in Coral Cables for a gallery tour and a discussion of the market for modern design with the gallery director Waltford Gonzalez
 

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn to identify nationalistic differences in modern design 
  • Discover research resources at the Wolfsonian library 
  • Discuss the current market for modern design
