Sandhya Jain-Patel is Principal Art Advisor and Appraiser at Sandhya Jain-Patel LLC. As the former Head of the Indian, Himalayan, and Southeast Asian Art Department at Christie's New York, she has 20 years of experience in art valuations for a wide range of appraisal and market purposes, including but not limited to insurance, donations, gift tax, estate tax, acquisitions, and deacquisitions. Holding advanced degrees in both Art History and Fine Arts Conservation, Sandhya is a highly sought after speaker on topics that include the history and culture of South and Southeast Asian art, art conservation issues covering a wide range of materials, and collection management. Mrs. Jain-Patel has been a certified member of the Appraisers Association of America (AAA) since 2021 and is a candidate member of ASA. She serves on the Appraisers Association's Education Committee and as a mentor with Art Market Mentors.
