Appraiser's Statement
Jeni Sandberg is an independent dealer, appraiser and consultant and has more than 20 years experience appraising a wide range of decorative arts from 18th-century American to mid-century modern. She spent nine years as vice president at Christie's, as senior specialist in the 20th-Century Design department and Head of Online Design Sales. She concentrated mainly on the glass and lamps of Tiffany Studios, other American furniture and decorative arts and mid-century modern design. Prior to Christie’s, Ms. Sandberg was the director of American Furniture at Doyle’s and was a research assistant in the American Wing at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. For nearly a decade, Ms. Sandberg appeared as an appraiser on WGBH’s Antiques Roadshow. Ms. Sandberg holds a bachelor's degree from New York University, a master's in architectural history from the University of Virginia, and a master's degree in the history of decorative arts from the Cooper-Hewitt Museum.
