Settling north of the town of New Hope on the picturesque western bank of the Delaware River, the Pennsylvania Impressionist Artists preserved the beauty ofl this rural area in canvases that are as vibrant today.

In this presentation by Dr. Tom Folk, AAA, we will focus on the group's key painter, Edward Redfield, and on the "New Hope Group" which comprised of William Lathrop, Charles Rosen, Daniel Garber, Robert Spencer, Morgan Colt and Rae Sloan Bredin. The values of these artists have skyrocketed since the 1980's, then went through a period of readjustment since 2008, and have settled on a still substantial and desirable market, largely based on reputation and historic importance...... perhaps in a way that should have always been.
