Dear Members, Affiliates and Friends,

It is no understatement to say that 2024 was monumental as we started the year by celebrating our 75th Anniversary! We recognized this milestone with a gala at the Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center attended by over 300 guests who were treated with a video presentation that both highlighted the Appraisers Association’s membership and programs, while simultaneously honoring Hans Neuendorf, the founder of artnet AG.

During this commemorative year, we also published Appraising: The Definitive Guide to Valuing Fine Art, Decorative Arts and Collectibles, Volume 2. This 320-page, color-illustrated book includes 50 comprehensive articles authored by 54 members and leading industry professionals. There are 30 articles on connoisseurship, eleven articles on the business of appraising, and nine addressing the theory & methodology of valuation .

Additionally, we held the 2024 Of Value: National Conference and Art Law Day attended by over 550 attendees, which included those both in person and virtually. The received responses to these events underscore the relevance and value of our programming to the participants’ interests.  If you couldn’t attend, recordings of this programming will be available for purchase shortly.

Lastly, we remained steadfast in coordinating the publics’ need for qualified appraisers. To date, we have responded to over 1,000 requests through emails, phone calls and website searches.

We hope that you will please consider making an end of year contribution to support the work of Appraisal Institute of America, the educational foundation of the Appraisers Association of America. Its mission remains unchanged, and continually focused on developing & promoting the standards of excellence in the profession of appraising through education and commitment to the highest standards of our professional.

Every donation helps, regardless of size, and is greatly appreciated.

Wishing a wonderful holiday season and hopes for continued prosperity.
