As in any field, the values of established artists and emerging artists change with time and circumstances.Outsider Art There has been a dramatic fluctuation in the fair market values in Art Brut and Non-Mainstream (Outsider) Art marketplace. Shari Cavin, AAA will discuss a few celebrated artists, both American and European, most likely known to appraisers, as well as other lesser known artists. The lecture will help contextualize these unique artists, and offer a foundation to appraisers for how best to proceed when determining the appropriate values for the work.

Shari Cavin, AAA, with her husband and partner
Randall Morris, established Cavin-Morris Gallery in
1986.  They exhibited the art of non-mainstream artistsShari Cavin
along with contemporary artists from their first exhibition.
The gallery concentrated primarily on American artists,
but gradually expanded their exhibitions to include an
international group of makers. In the last 10 years the
gallery has expanded to include contemporary studio
ceramic art.
