One of the most commonly asked questions by both new and experienced appraisers is exactly what is expected when writing a market analysis. In this webinar, Sharon Chrust, AAA and Jennifer Garland Ross, AAA will discuss their approaches to writing a Market Analysis from both a fine and decorative arts perspective, whether it be for an IRS report or for insurance purposes.
The instructors will provide resources for you to access when preparing your market analysis, along with the key points to hit in every report whether it be through several pages of discussion, or simply one paragraph.
Sharon Chrust, AAA has been involved in the Contemporary Art market for over 25 years. In 2003, she started Sharon Chrust & Associates, which provides appraisal and art consulting services to private and corporate clients. She has attained the highest accreditation of the Appraisers Association, that of a Certified Member, and is the second Vice President of the Board of Directors. Sharon is also an Adjunct Instructor at New York University's School of Professional Studies. She is a board member of Franklin Street Works, a non-profit arts space, and a member of ArtTable, an organization of women leaders in the arts.

Upon returning to New York, Jennifer was hired as a specialist in the European Furniture and Decorative Arts Department at Christie’s where she remained until December of 2002 when she left to start her own business.
