MajolicaJoin us for a comprehensive introduction to the colorful and often confusing world of Victorian majolica ware, presented by Nick Dawes, AAA, Appraisers Association of America Board Member and author of four standard works on decorative arts including ‘Majolica’ (Crown Publishes, New York, 1989).

Attendees will learn how to identify principal manufacturers, date, value and accurately describe majolica items, which are often found in collections.  Market trends and issues of fakes (there are plenty), restoration and accurate definition (what is the difference between ‘majolica’ and ‘maiolica’ for instance), will be covered, with plenty of opportunity for interactive discussion.
