Kerry KeaneA talented guitarist with a strong love for American fretted instruments; Kerry Keane has been influential in establishing and growing Christie's presence in the international auction market of fine musical instruments since 1999. Mr. Keane has sold "The Hammer" violin by Antonio Stradivari, setting the world auction record for a Stradivari sold for $3,544,000 in April 2006. He established the auction market for fine vintage guitars with his sale of the Eric Clapton collection in 2004 followed by the Richard Gere collection sold in 2010. In 2019 Keane was the Consultant and auction Specialist Head responsible for the sale of the David Gilmour Collection.
