2023 Annual Fund
Dear Members, Affiliates and Friends,
As we approach the end of the year, we are thrilled to share with you our achievements and the exciting events planned for 2024. This year 344 people attended 2023 National Conference and 239 attended Art Law Day, underscoring the pertinence of the programming to our participants’ interests and needs.
Our programs and events provide opportunities to learn from experts across specializations with additional programs offering tools to grow one’s business and network. To date, we have provided 31 in-person and virtual programs attended by 1,818 people. This past July, we hosted a month long in-person intensive Comprehensive Appraisal Studies Program (CASP) and this Fall/Spring CASP course will be held online with two in-person weekends for 33 students.
Additionally, our work focused on assisting the public with their need for appraisers by responding to 2,017 requests through emails, phone calls or website searches. In April we hosted our 17th Annual Award Luncheon honoring renowned art dealer and market expert Michael Findlay, Director of Acquavella Galleries.
In 2024, we will be in celebration mode, recognizing the 75th anniversary of the Appraisers Association. On Wednesday, April 24, we will be honoring Hans Neuendorf, founder of artnet, AG at the Rainbow Room - mark your calendars! Reaching this milestone offers us a time to reflect on our accomplishments and look forward at our potential.
We are eager to begin our journey into the next 75 years and hope that you will join us in our efforts to grow the appraisal profession and our standing within it.
This brings me to further reflection on our logo the owl. It was recently pointed out that our logo didn’t have a name. With an end-of-year donation of $100 or more, you will receive a delightful stuffed owl and the opportunity to submit a name reflecting our work and membership. The chosen name will be revealed at the gala!
We are continually inspired by the dedication our members, board, affiliates, friends and staff who have brought us to this point in our history. Please consider making an end of year contribution to support our work.
