Kimberly Sørensen, a Design specialist with Phillips New York, will trace the history of the market for Contemporary Design, exploring the names that have defined the category, high points, low points, and what’s on the horizon.

Kimberly Sørensen is a specialist in the Design department at Phillips New York, having begun her career in Design auctions in 2011 before joining Phillips in 2015. Ms. Sørensen holds a Masters in the History of Decorative Arts, Design, and Material Culture from the Bard Graduate Center, where she was honored to receive the Clive Wainwright Award for an outstanding M.A. thesis and contribution to the field of decorative arts. She has contributed to publications such as Metalsmith Magazine and has presented at symposia at Oxford University, among others.
