LincolnAppraising unique and singular objects with few or no direct comparable properties may pose multiple assignment problems for the personal property appraiser. Standard appraisal practices and principles may not always apply when developing complex methodologies and determining credible and acceptable final value conclusions. In The Comparable Void, Todd W. Sigety will analyze some of the challenges facing the appraiser when confronted with limited to no comparable property. Discussions will include and explore options such as developing creative methodologies, using parallel equivalencies, developing value progressions, obtaining supporting context through expert opinion and rationalizing value adjustment extrapolations.

This is a recording of a webinar held on October 23, 2024.
