Deborah Ripley, Director of Bonhams Prints & Multiples Department in New York, will provide an overview on the market for Dali prints. including a discussion of Dali fakes and the battling experts, each claiming to know more than the other. Dali was controversial, and his work continues to confound new generations of collectors, but it does result in amusing anecdotes.
This lecture will service as a follow-up to Deborah Ripley's December 2023 Contemporary Print Market Lecture (purchase the recording here).
A reception with refreshments will follow the lecture that will be in the historic National Arts Club, a National Landmark building and the former home of Governor Samuel Tilden.
