The Growing Market for Contemporary Indigenous and Native American Art
The panel was originally held at our National Conference, November 7, 2024.
During the past five years, there has been rapidly developing institutional and market interest for the work of contemporary Indigenous and Native American artists. This panel offers an introduction to some of the most influential artists working today across a wide array of media, including both senior figures and more emerging names. The conversation will address the founding commitments of both The Forge Project and The Gochman Family Collection and will also include a discussion about which commercial galleries and auction houses are playing a key role and what are some of the market factors impacting the significant growth of this art collecting area.
