Appraiser's Statement

Elizabeth von Habsburg, AAA, is Managing Director of Winston Art Group, the largest independent appraisal and advisory firm in the US. She leads a team of over 75 specialists in all areas of fine and decorative art, preparing USPAP compliant appraisals, and testifying whenever required. Elizabeth lectures and, as a certified member of AAA, she appraises worldwide. She has qualified as a fine and decorative art expert witness in the NY, Texas, Pennsylvania, Missouri and Florida Courts. Additionally, she advises private clients, building and refining their collections. She edited four volumes of Antique Hunters Guides to Silver/Pewter, Furniture, and Pottery/Porcelain (2000/2001), contributed to “Fine Art and High Finance”, published by Bloomberg Press, 2009, and contributed to The Appraisal Handbook,  and Appraising Art, 2013. She was on the Board of Directors of AAA through 2015, and of The Appraisal Foundation through 2015 (including being the 2014 Chair of the Board of Trustees).  Liz is a member of ArtTable, a Fellow of the Morgan Library, a Fellow of RICS, and a member of the Women Presidents Organization Platinum Chapter 8 and the New York Chapter 3. She was a board member of Christie's Education through 2021.
