She is a certified member of the Appraisers Association of America with over 25 years of experience in the art world. She started out as an independent curator, continued to manage several contemporary art galleries before founding the multi- media art gallery LMAKgallery in 2005, which she co-owned until 2019. Through the gallery, she was able to place artists’ works in various private and public collections such as the Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Contemporary Museum of Photography, the Rhode Island Museum of Art, the Contemporary Museum of Photography, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, El Museo del Barrio, and the Kadist Art Foundation to name a few.

She holds two MA-degrees: one in Art History and the other in Art Management, both from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Additionally, she has a certificate in Appraisal Studies from SCPS/ NYU, New York City. Her education and awareness of the art world allows for a greater understanding of art and the art market.  She creates valuable appraisal reports, which offer in-depth and well-supported arguments for the appraised value and in compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), and following IRS guidelines

Since Mrs. Keijsers Koning started her appraisal company in 2015 she has appraised numerous art works for insurance purposes, including damage and loss appraisals. She has written appraisal reports for estate planning and estate tax filing purposes, as well as donations, gifts, and expert reports. The works appraised ranged from high-end blue-chip art works, public art works to Fluxus works, including photographs, performances, installations, and video/films. In addition, she regular reviews appraisal reports for certification candidates for the Appraisers Association of America.
