Dena Rigby is a Certified Member of the AAA, having worked in the fine art business since 1995. In addition to her degree in Art History, she attended a Finance in the Art Market program at Sotheby's Institute in London. Beginning her career at one of Seattle's oldest and most respected galleries, her career began with a specialization in Northwest Masters, Contemporary art, and Studio Glass. Following this, Rigby privately managed and represented some of the Northwest's most notable artists and led high-level museum patron tours nationally for over ten years. In addition to a 25-year long relationship with the famed Pilchuck Glass School, Rigby owned a private gallery in Los Angeles in partnership with a collector of Contemporary art. She has sat on the Los Angeles MOCA contemporaries Board of Directors and the Seattle Art Museum Supporters Executive Committee. She has managed corporate deaccessions to museum standards, for the country's most notable technology company and one of the largest banks in the United States. Her professional practice now includes appraisal services along with advising on accession, deaccession, and collection management. She works nationally, maintaining offices in Seattle and Richmond. While she specializes in Contemporary and Modern glass, her practice has included all traditional mediums falling under Post-War, Contemporary, and Emerging art.
