In over two decades at Sotheby’s, I became an established, respected specialist and leader in the 19th Century European Art field. I brought in-depth expertise of the period (including Sporting and Maritime Art), made historic rediscoveries of lost masterworks, achieved record-breaking sales, and built trusted client relationships. Today, as a Certified Member, Appraisers Association of America, specializing in 19th century European Art, and Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), compliant through October 2024, I provide prompt, detailed appraisals for Fair Market Value, Retail Replacement Value (Insurance) and Charitable Contribution. I also offer tailored advice for clients managing their collections and empathetic guidance for those collectors new to the art world.  Based in New York, I frequently travel to assist an international group of clients.  Additionally, I research and write museum-quality catalogue essays, provenance, and assist with object authentication.
