Appraiser's Statement
Grace Harlow has seven years of experience conducting fine art appraisals and is currently a senior researcher at Di Donna Galleries. She holds a B.A. in Art History from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a dual M.A. in Art History and Museum Studies from Georgetown University. In 2017, she completed the Comprehensive Appraisal Studies Program (or, CASP) offered through the Appraisal Association of America and has worked at auction houses, galleries, and appraisal firms in New York City, Washington D.C. and London, where she contributed research for valuations, provenance, and authenticity matters. From 2021-2023, she worked as an appraiser at Masterworks, an art investment company, where she executed quarterly fair market value appraisals exclusively on Postwar, Contemporary, and Ultra-Contemporary artworks in the company’s portfolio. Through her time working in these various settings, Ms. Harlow has gained specialization in valuing Postwar and Contemporary art and has completed various appraisals for insurance purposes, estate planning, donations/charitable contributions, and damage/loss instances.
