Appraiser's Statement

Over the past twenty years, based on reputation and referrals, I have completed over 800 appraisals for corporate, institutional, non-profit, and private individuals through my art collection management company, Art Matters, LLC. Clients have hired me and my company for a myriad of purposes including insurance, estate planning, donation, estate taxes, and resale. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, most of my clients were initially located in the southeast. Over time, I have been called to work across the United States. Through decades of appraising, art advising and collecting, I have developed relationships with galleries all over the world. While my personal passion is collecting and appraising photography, the needs of my clients have given me the opportunity to build the research tools, market knowledge, and connections necessary to appraise a variety of media including painting, prints, sculpture, and design objects. My enthusiasm for art, natural curiosity, and years of experience drives me to perform all my appraisals with the highest professional standards, proper due diligence, and documented research.
