Appraiser's Statement
I worked for over 30 years in the international art auction business at Christie's and Bonhams. I was a Vice President in fine art departments spanning 19th Century European Paintings (including Sporting Art and Maritime Art), Impressionist and Modern Art and American Painting. I catalogued, researched and appraised works of art for auction as well as for insurance, estate tax, and gift tax purposes. I am also follow the Post-War and Contemporary Art and Print fields. I received a B.A. in the History of Art from Yale University where I wrote my thesis on Modigliani and Primitivism.
