Appraiser's Statement
Founded in Austin, Texas, Force Art Projects advises collectors, conducts art appraisals, stages exhibitions and champions emerging artists. Prior to founding Force Art Projects, Kristen held the role of director at Ordovas, a London based contemporary art gallery. While at Ordovas she mounted over 8 museum-quality exhibitions featuring major works by Frida Kahlo, Andy Warhol, Lucien Freud and Jasper Johns. Before joining Ordovas, Kristen was a specialist in Post-War and Contemporary Art at Christie’s, New York. In this role, Kristen focused on sales and research and conducted hundreds of appraisals for Estate Tax, Charitable Donation, Equitable Distribution and Insurance purposes. Kristen specializes in post-war, contemporary and emerging art and holds a Master of Arts degree in Art and Politics from Goldsmiths College, University of London, a MA in Modern and Contemporary Art History, Connoisseurship and History of the Art Market from Christie’s Education and a BA in International Communications from Texas Christian University.
