Appraiser's Statement

Ry Fillman is a generalist appraiser with a strong knowledge and background in American and European furniture and decorative arts; currently a Specialist with Locati, LLC in Central Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He is Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) compliant through March 15, 2024.

A native of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Ry relocated to Los Angeles in 2013 after finishing his undergraduate degree and immediately went into the auction business beginning his career working at Bonhams as a cataloger in the Furniture and Decorative Arts department. From there he went on to become the Head of Estate Auctions with Andrew Jones Auctions in Los Angeles from 2018-2021.

Ry is a 2013 graduate of Temple University obtaining his B.A. in Art History. He continues to elect continuing education courses to keep current with scholarship and explore new disciplines. Ry has served as an auctioneer in his previous roles as well as pro bono auctioneering for charity.
