Based in Los Angeles, Katherine Don has over twenty years of experience with contemporary art in Asia as an independent curator and arts professional promoting cross-cultural exchange between artists and patrons across the Pacific. She recently served as Executive Director of the non-profit art organization Hawai'i Contemporary to launch the internationally acclaimed Hawai’i Triennial 2022. Previous roles include gallery director of Goedhuis Contemporary (contemporary Chinese art) in New York (2003-2005), founder of RedBox Studio providing contemporary Asian art advisory in Beijing (2005-2012), a key contributor in establishing the Contemporary Ink Art category and leading sales at Sotheby’s in New York and Hong Kong (2012-2018), and management experience as the Head of Arts and Cultural Development at Asia Society Hong Kong Center (2018-2020). Katherine is a founding partner of Centerpiece Art Advisory, a global art group providing fine art appraisal and independent art advisory services to private collectors, museums, and corporate clients.
