Appraiser's Statement
Joy Schonberg, a certified member of the AAA, was educated in London and Israel. She is an international expert on Judaica, art historian and archaeologist. She was formerly Head of Antiquities/Judaica at Christie''s International. She is now primarily an appraiser, lecturer, consultant and researcher. In addition she maintains a gallery and also appraises archaeological objects - Greek, Roman, Byzantine, etc. She has authored many articles and edited journals in the field. She has written major appraisals for Synagogues, Museums, and private Collectors.
