Appraiser's Statement
Martha Henry is a USPAP compliant fine art appraiser specializing in African American, Self Taught, and American Art. For more than thirty years, Martha Henry has contributed to the art field as an appraiser, advisor, curator and writer. She is currently President of Martha Henry, Inc. Fine Art, a professional art and education company for individual collectors, artists, corporations, and civic and academic organizations, where she serves as art advisor, curator of exhibitions, collection manager and appraiser. She has curated exhibitions and is the author of catalogs and essays on Outsider and Contemporary Art. Ms. Henry has a degree in Art History from Columbia University. She is a member of the American Alliance of Museum, Art Table, POWART, and Arts Action Fund.
